AZUSA -- A young man and woman were hospitalized in unknown condition after being shot at a house party early Saturday, police said.
Officers responded to a report of "shots fired" in the 300 block of South Aspan Avenue about 1:20 a.m., Azusa police Sgt. Xavier Torres said in a written statement.
"The victims were present for a large party at the location when the gunfire erupted," Torres said. "The suspect (or suspects) fled the location prior to officers' arrival."
Both victims were hospitalized in unknown condition.
Detectives continued to investigate Saturday morning, officials said, and no further details were available.
Anyone with information is asked to call Azusa police Detective Robert Landeros at 626-812-3200.
