Baldwin Park man stabbed to death outside West Covina Halloween Party

WEST COVINA – A 26-year-old Baldwin Park man was stabbed to death early Sunday morning after becoming involved in an altercation outside a Halloween party, police said Monday.
According to a news release, West Covina police received several 9-1-1 calls reporting a stabbing in the 1000 block of South Meeker Avenue at about 2 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found Nicholas Bernard Botiller in the middle of the street suffering from mutiple stab wounds to his upper torso.
Botiller was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
West Covina police Cpl. Rudy Lopez said witnesses told police that Botiller left the party with a group of people and was hanging out with them in the street prior to the stabbing.
He said witnesses heard a “ruckus” and saw that Botiller had been stabbed.
Botiller’s attackers fled the area before police arrived. No suspects have been identified or arrested.
