PASADENA — A fire tore through a 97-year-old bungalow late Monday, causing about $300,000 worth of damage but injuring no one, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 7:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Mar Vista Avenue, according to Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
Neighbors first spotted the blaze and warned two residents to get out, officials said.
After extinguishing the flames, officials added, firefighters determined the fire was due to roofing repairs earlier in the day. The home was built in 1915 by  architect John Austin.
