UPDATED: Two dead, one critically wounded in Pomona shooting; police seek public’s help for clues

POMONA — Two men died and another was hospitalized in critical condition following a late-night shooting Saturday, police said.
Laderick Lee Rogers and Terrill Marquis Thomas, both 20 and of Pomona, were pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, Los Angeles County Department of Coroner’s Lt. Cheryl MacWillie said.
Detectives were left with few clues in the double-slaying, which was reported about 10:50 p.m. in the 700 block of East Columbia Avenue, between Towne and San Antonio Avenues, according to Pomona police Sgt. Robert DeVee.
“At this time, there is no suspect description and Pomona police detectives are asking for your help,” DeVee said.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a gunshot victim, he said. “Officers arrived and found two victims suffering gunshot wounds to the torso. These two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.”
A third man was found nearby who had also been shot in the upper body, DeVee said. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
Anyone with information was asked to contact Pomona police detectives at 909-620-2095.
