Man wounded in stabbing at El Monte park

EL MONTE — A fight at Lashbrook Park Wednesday ended in a stabbing, police said.
Two young men, both in their 20s, became involved in a fight about 5 p.m. at the park in the 3100 block of Lashbrook Avenue, El Monte police Lt. Dan Burlingham said.
“During that fight, the victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen,” the lieutenant said. Friends took the man to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The attacker was described as a Latino man, 23 to 26 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, police said.
