Altadena man seriously wounded in Pasadena shooting

PASADENA — A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot during an argument in a residential neighborhood early Saturday, police said.
The shooting victim, a 20-year-old Altadena man, suffered “several gunshots wounds to the upper body,” but was believed to be stabilized at a hospital after undergoing surgery, Pasadena police Lt. Diego Torres said.
The attack took place about 2 a.m. in the 800 block of North Summit Avenue, between Painter Street and Mountain Street.
He got into an argument with another man, initially described only as a black of about 20 years old, when the attacker pulled a gun and opened fire, the lieutenant said. It was unclear what the argument was about.
Investigators were seeking witnesses to the shooting, and anyone with information was asked to call the Pasadena Police Department at 626-744-4620.
