La Puente pizzeria robbed

LA PUENTE — A man escaped with an unknown amount of cash after using a knife to rob a pizzeria Sunday, officials said.
The crime took place about 10 a.m. at a pizza restaurant in the 1200 block of N. Hacienda Boulevard, just north of Fairgrove Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Desiree Rodriguez said.
The robber brandished a 6- to 8-inch knife as he demanded cash from the business, she said.
He was last seen heading east on Fairgrove Avenue on foot, officials said.
Officials described the robber as a Latino man in his early- to mid-20s, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, Rodriguez said.
Initial reports from the scene further described the robber as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 145 pounds and wearing blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s Industry Station.
