Man accused of attacking family member with bottle near Covina

Deputies arrested a San Dimas man early Sunday after he struck a family member over the head with a bottle during an argument in an unincorporated county area near Covina, authorities said.
Geordon Campos, 19, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials and county booking records.
Deputies were summoned about 2:30 a.m. to the home in the 4800 block of N. Vecino Drive, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Kirk Smith.
Campos is accused of striking one family member, a man, over the head with a bottle, and punching a second family member, Smith said.
The man who was hit with the bottle was taken to a hospital with a significant gash on his head, Smith said. The man who was punched did not appear to be seriously hurt.
Campos was being held in lieu of $30,000 bail pending his scheduled court appearance Tuesday in West Covina Superior Court, records show.
