Five suspected of Pasadena paintball attack

PASADENA — Police arrested four juveniles and one adult early Wednesday on suspicion of shooting at a mother and her children with a paintball gun.
The victims were standing in the area of Mountain Street and Euclid Avenue about 12:30 a.m. when they were shot by paintballs from a passing car, Pasadena police Lt. Jari Faulkner said.
Responding officers spotted a car matching the description in the area, pulled it over and arrested four juveniles and one adult on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the lieutenant said.
The woman and kids struck by the paintballs suffered welts but required no medical treatment, she added.
The name of the adult suspect was not available Wednesday afternoon.
