Police arrest auto burglary suspect in Whittier

WHITTIER — A man who allegedly broke into several cars was arrested after a short chase, police said Wednesday.
Officers recovered multiple items that had been taken from the vehicles. They didn’t say what the items were.
Whittier police got a call at 7:57 p.m. Tuesday about a man breaking into cars in the 5700 block of Magnolia Avenue. He ran from officers.
Lt. Mike Przybyl said the man was caught in the 12100 block of Howard Street.
Marcus Lopez, 21, of Whittier was arrested on suspicion of burglary and booked at the Whittier police station.
He posted bond Wednesday and was released, according to Przybyl.
