Rattlesnake bites 12-year-old camper in Angeles National Forest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST — A 12-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after a snake bit her on the foot Friday, county fire officials said.
Sheriff’s Lt. Tonya Edwards said the minor was at a camp and it was reported as a rattlesnake bite.
Michael Pittman, supervising dispatcher with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, said firefighters were called to the incident at Angeles Crest Highway and Sulfur Springs Road about 6 p.m.
He said the girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital.
