Teens suspected of attempted break-in at Pasadena home

PASADENA — Police arrested four Alhambra teens on suspicion of trying to break into a Pasadena home Wednesday, officials said.
The teenage boys, two 16-year-olds, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old, were also found with apparently stolen property from other locations when arrested, leading detectives to suspect they may be responsible for other area break-ins, Pasadena police Lt. Rick Aversano said.
The investigation was ongoing.
A resident was home when the teens tried to enter through a back door about 5 p.m. in the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue, the lieutenant said.
The resident called the police and kept an eye on the would-be burglars as they walked away from his home, Aversano said.
Officers arrived, found the four teens in the area and arrested them without a struggle, police said.
