Drive-by shooting reported in La Mirada, no one injured

LA MIRADA — A man inside a passing car fired a volley of bullets at an occupied home Saturday, but injured no one, officials said.
The drive-by shooting was reported about 10:05 a.m. at a house in the 13900 block of Larwin Road, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Arnold said.
A man and woman were inside the house when a white, hatchback, 2002 Honda passed by with two men inside, described only as Latino men with shaved heads, the sergeant said.
One of the men opened fire on the house, shooting several bullets toward the front door before speeding away, Arnold said.
The car believed to have been used in the shooting was discovered abandoned a short distance away in the 14000 block of Mansa Drive, he added. The suspects were not found.
The car was not reported stolen, Arnold said, however the car appeared to be registered to an invalid address.
A motive in the shooting was not immediately clear. The incident remained under investigation.
