Man wounded in Norwalk car-to-car shooting

NORWALK — A person was dropped off at a hospital with gunshot wounds after what was believed to be a gang-related car-to-car shooting on Rosecrans Avenue, authorities said.
The shooting was reported about 3:20 p.m. at Rosecrans and Shoemaker avenues, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Corrales said.
A man in his 20s, was riding inside a car that was fired upon by two men inside another car, the sergeant said.
The car the wounded man was riding in crashed into a stop sign and a wall at Shoemaker Avenue and Foster Road, Corrales said. Friends or family members of the victim apparently rushed him to a hospital in another car.
The victim was shot in the shoulder and leg and hospitalized in stable condition, officials said.
The shooters were initially described as two Latino men in their 20s and were last seen heading west on Rosecrans in a dark-colored Honda Civic, Corrales said.
