AZUSA — A motorcyclist from Duarte traveling eastbound on the 210 Freeway west of Vernon Avenue collided with a Ford pick-up truck’s right side mirror early Tuesday, ejecting him onto the roadway of eastbound lanes before he was whisked away to safety.

Stephen Seyarto, 20, of Duarte was traveling in 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle when for unknown reasons, he collided with the Ford truck driven by Sergio Torres-Ramirez, 37, of Pacoima at about 8:30 a.m, CHP officials said.

After the collision, Seyarto was ejected from his motorcycle and onto the roadway of eastbound lanes, according to a CHP press release.

“Mr. Torres Ramirez and other motorists stopped their vehicles after the collision and assisted Mr. Seyarto to the right shoulder emergency lane, as well as, his motorcycle,” a CHP statement said.

The California Highway Patrol, Baldwin Park Area office and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded on scene.
