Police seek tips in Alhambra bank robbery

ALHAMBRA – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of robbing the Bank of the West at 855 W. Valley Boulevard on Saturday morning.

The suspect entered the bank shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday and handed the teller a note, while verbally demanding money. The teller complied and gave him money. The suspect then left the bank, according to a police statement.

Officials said $2,100 was taken in the robbery.

No one was injured and no weapons were seen.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 20s, about 5 feet 8inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.

Closed circuit cameras in the bank captured clear images of the suspect during the robbery.
