UPDATED: Two stabbed in Rowland Heights

ROWLAND HEIGHTS — Deputies surrounded a Rowland Heights house Thursday afternoon where two people were stabbed and a suspect was possibly holed-up.
The stabbing was first reported about 2:55 p.m. in the 18000 block of Los Palacios Drive, just west of Fullerton Road, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
The condition of the victims was unclear, Sgt. Ray Lascano of the sheriff’s Walnut-Diamond Bar Station said.
Initial reports indicated the wounded victims were a pregnant woman and a man, he said.
Deputies took positions around the home and were preparing to force their way in if necessary to apprehend the suspect, initially described as a Latino man in his early 20s.
Deputies had spotted him inside the home, Lascano said, but he refused initial orders to surrender.
Nearby homes were evacuated as the stand-off continued Thursday afternoon.
No further details were available.
