Pasadena man wounded in Raymond Avenue shooting

PASADENA — A Pasadena man suffered a leg wound in a shooting in an alley late Friday, police said.
Officers responded responded about 11 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the alley to the west of the 900 block of North Raymond Avenue, between Mountain and Hammond streets, Pasadena police Sgt. Ed Calatayud said. Witnesses reported hearing about eight gunshots.
No victims were initially found, however two cars in the alley had been struck by gunfire, the sergeant said.
A little more than two hours later, staff at a hospital emergency room notified police of the arrival of a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg, Calatayud said. The injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
A motive in the shooting or a description of the shooter was not available Saturday as detectives continued their investigation.
