Firefighters to “Fill the Boot” for MDA in Pasadena

PASADENA — Pasadena firefighters will once again team the the Muscular Dystrophy Association Tuesday to take part in the “Fill the Boot” charity drive, benefitting Jerry’s Kids.
Firefighters will congregate, boots in hand, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Foothill and Rosemead Boulevards, as well as at South Arroyo Parkway and California Boulevard, according to Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
Change donated by passing drivers will add to the more than $375 million raised by the International Association of Firefighters’ 55-year-old tradition for research, treatment and financial assistance to families affected by MDA.
