UPDATED: Norwalk man fatally struck by commuter train in Baldwin Park

A man pushing a bicycle was struck and killed by a Metrolink train Friday night, authorities said.
Baldwin Park Police Lt. Dave Reynoso said the collision happened at 7:28 p.m. on Ramona Boulevard and Downing Avenue.
Carlos Jacinto DeSantiago, 49, of Norwalk, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Chris Hofford.
Reynoso said the train was crossing Ramona Boulevard at Downing Avenue.
“The bicyclist, according to witnesses, was westbound Ramona Boulevard pushing his bike when it appears he walked in front of the train,” Reynoso said
“He got hit by the train and went under the train.”
According to the lieutenant, the man sustained multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:01 p.m.
Passengers from the involved Metrolink train, 335 of the San Bernardino line, were transferred onto buses to continue their journeys, Metrolink officials said.
