Safe containing firearm, $20,000 stolen in Pico Rivera

PICO RIVERA — A burglar or burglars took a safe containing $20,000 and a firearm from a residence, deputies said Friday.
Lt. Andrew Meyer of the sheriff’s Pico Rivera Station said deputies went to the 9500 block of Woodford Street on a burglary call about 3 p.m. They discovered a safe with the cash and a weapon had been stolen.
The resident discovered the break-in Friday, Meyer said.
