Four displaced by Pasadena house fire

PASADENA — A fire displaced four people Sunday and caused about $225,000 worth of damage to an El Molina Avenue house, authorities said.
The fire was first reported about 1:15 p.m., and firefighters encountered a significant amount of smoke coming from the home in the 1600 block of North El Molino Avenue, Pasadena Fire Department officials said.
The fire had worked its way into the attic, however firefighters managed to minimize the damage to the home to a minimum by making an aggressive attack on the flames, officials said.
After extinguishing the blaze, officials estimated it caused about $175,000 in damage to the home and another $50,000 worth of damage to its contents.
The four adults displaced by the fire elected to stay with extended family, officials added.
