Whittier teen suspected of shooting

A 17-year-old Whittier boy was arrested for allegedly firing a gun at an occupied car Tuesday night.
Whittier police Lt. Mike Przybyl said witnesses saw the juvenile shooting in the 12600 block of Foxley Drive about 5 p.m. No one was hit.
The suspected shooter came out of a house on Foxley Drive and opened fire on an occupied car that was parked down the street, Lt. Steve Dean said.
Responding officers arrested the boy on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and recovered a handgun, police said. He was believed to be a gang member.
