SAN DIMAS — A crash involving an overturned trailer packed with recreational vehicles overturned on the Orange (57) Freeway Friday, blocking traffic lanes for hours, authorities said.
The crash was reported just before 11:40 a.m. on the northbound 57 Freeway, just north of Via Verde, California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada said.
An SUV was hauling a Toy Hauler trailer containing two all terrain vehicles, a quad, a motorcycle and related equipment, the officer said.
Five people who were inside the SUV were not believed seriously hurt, she added.
The crash prompted the closure of the two left lanes of the northbound freeway, Posada said. The Sig Alert was expected to remain in effect through 3 p.m.
