PASADENA — A man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash Friday after using a knife to rob a shoe store along Fair Oaks Avenue, police said.
The man was armed with a small knife when he entered Edge Footwear in the 2000 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue about 6 p.m., Pasadena police Lt. Ed Calatayud said.
He demanded cash and an employee complied before the robber fled north on Fair Oaks Avenue, the lieutenant said. No injuries were reported.
Police described the robber as a Latino man in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds. He wore dark clothing and a baseball cap.
