BREAKING: Fatal shooting reported in Norwalk

NORWALK — A gunshot victim died early Wednesday after being dropped off at a hospital, authorities said.
The man was pronounced dead just after 6 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Los Angeles County Department of Coroner Assistant Chief of Operations Ed Winter said.
He was initially described as a Latino man in his 30s pending positive identification and notification of family members, Winter said.
The investigation remained in its early stages, however sheriff’s officials said it was believed the shooting took place about 4 a.m. in the 14000 block of Gard Avenue.
The wounded man was apparently dropped off at another hospital before being transferred to St. Francis emergency room with multiple gunshot wounds, according to sheriff’s and coroner’s officials.
Further details were not immediately available.
