Man stabbed during robbery in Rosemead

ROSEMEAD — A 24-year-old man was attacked and stabbed in the stomach during a Friday robbery.
Lt. Ignacio Somoano of the sheriff’s Temple station said nothing was taken during the 7:30 p.m. robbery on Ivar Avenue between Marshall Street and Valley Boulevard.
A man was walking on the sidewalk when two men approached him.
They asked him where he was from and does he have any property, Somoano said.
“Before he could respond, they started physically assaulting the victim,” Somoano said.
During the attack, he said the victim felt pain to his abdomen. The two suspects then ran off.
The victim was taken by a private car to Garfield Medical Center. Somoano said the man’s injury was non life-threatening.
The two suspects were described as Latinos with shaved heads, between 20 to 25, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 180 pounds. They wore black clothing.
