Coroner’s officials on Friday identified the woman who was killed during a store robbery as a 56-year-old Pasadena resident.
The autopsy on Sylvia Cho is pending, said Elissa Fleak, an investigator with the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
Deputies said Cho, also known as Sun Hee, was co-owner of a convenience store in the 11000 block of South Alameda Street. She was shot several times in the upper torso during an apparent robbery Thursday afternoon.
Deputy Kim Manatt said Century Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location regarding a person needing medical attention.
They found Cho who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Manatt said there are no known witnesses and the surveillance system at the store was found to be inoperable.
