Man carjacked and robbed along Del Mar Blvd. in Pasadena

PASADENA — Three men robbed and carjacked a man after rear-ending his vehicle late Monday, authorities said.
The crime lasted about half an hour and began about 11:45 p.m. Monday on Del Mar and San Gabriel Boulevards, Pasadena police Lt. Tom Delgado said.
“The suspects rear-end the victim,” he said. “The victim gets out of the car to check the damage. They basically overpower him.”
Delagado said the three attackers stole the man’s wallet and other items, then drove him about a quarter-mile to the west and dropped him off at Del Mar Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue. They continued fleeing in his car, which was later found abandoned.
The victim, a 40-year-old San Gabriel man, was examined at a hospital but suffered no serious injuries, the lieutenant said. He was initially only able to described his attackers as male.
