Pasadena man arrested on suspicion of ‘hot prowl’ burglary

PASADENA — Police jailed a burglary suspect early Saturday after a woman awoke to find him in her bedroom, authorities said.
Cody Cicci, 20, of Pasadena was booked on suspicion of burglary in connection with the 4:45 a.m.”hot prowl” break-in in the 300 block of South El Molino Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
A woman awoke to discover Cicci entering her bedroom, the lieutenant said. “He was then startled by her presence and fled. She called 9-1-1.”
Responding officers spotted Cicci running in the 200 block of South El Molino Avenue, Clawson said. They gave chase and took him into custody after cornering him behind an apartment complex.
“He was found in possession of the victims credit cards,” Clawson said.
Officials were in the process of carrying out a search warrant at Cicci’s home Saturday morning in search of additional stolen property, he added.
