Firefighters extinguish Industry brush fire

INDUSTRY — Firefighters made quick work of a small brush fire that ignited along the 60 Freeway in Industry Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire was first reported just after 4 p.m. along the 60 Freeway, near Crossroads Parkway, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said.
It grew to about half an acre in size before being extinguished by firefighters in about half an hour, fire Inspector Keith Mora said.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, he said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The fire briefly prompted the closure of the two right-hand lanes of the eastbound 60 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
