PICO RIVERA — A roofer sustained critical injuries when he fell off an apartment roof Thursday.
The incident in the 800 block of Washington Boulevard was reported to firefighters at 3:45 p.m.
The man suffered major head trauma and was flown by helicopter to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, according to Los Angeles County Fire Capt. Brian Jones.
The injured man was described as a Latino in his 50s.
