Four men rob woman in Pasadena parking lot

PASADENA — Four robbers with a handgun fled with a woman’s purse after robbing her and attempting to rob another woman in a parking lot early Sunday, officials said.
The crime took place about 12:15 a.m. at Fair Oaks Avenue and State Street, according to Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson.
A San Gabriel woman and a Los Angeles woman, both 28 years old, were walking to their vehicle in a parking lot when they were approached by the four robbers, Clawson said.
One of the robbers, “produced a handgun and ordered the victims to drop their purses,” the lieutenant said. Only one of the women complied.
“The suspects grabbed it and fled to a vehicle that was parked in the area,” Clawson said. The getaway car was described as a black Toyota Scion or Honda Civic.
Police described the robber clutching the handgun as a black man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. He was accompanied by a Latino man in his 20s wearing a tan T-shirt and two other robbers described only as male and black.
The women were not harmed in the crime.
