Glendora Mountain Road, Glendora Ridge Road shut down due to fire danger

GLENDORA — In order to help prevent wildfires as Independence Day approaches, officials shut down Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road Wednesday, and plan to keep the roads closed through Monday.
The closure began at 10 a.m. Wednesday on Glendora Mountain Road north of the Glendora city limit, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Andy Berg said.
It was done at the request of U.S. Forest Service officials, he said.
“It hasn’t burned for a while, so there’s a lot of fuel, and it’s really dry,” the lieutenant said.
Officials planned to lift the closures Monday morning.
