Jewelry stolen in Sierra Madre hot prowl burglary

SIERRA MADRE – A burglar or burglars took an estimated $500 worth of jewelry from a house Thursday.
The residential burglary in the 400 block of Michillinda Avenue was reported to police at 11:10 a.m.
Sierra Madre Police Sgt. Enrique Gonzalez said footsteps in the house woke up the resident’s sleeping granddaughter. She then heard the suspects running away.
She called police.
Gonzalez said officers found two rooms ransacked. The suspects got in the house through an open window, he added.
