Man sought after woman struck in head with bottle in Pasadena

PASADENA — Police sought a man early Friday on suspicion of striking a woman i the head with a glass bottle during an argument, officials said.
The incident took place about 2:36 a.m. at Walnut Street and Catalina Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
The man and woman, both transients who had known each other for quite a while, became involved in an argument, the lieutenant said. As the woman turned away, the man struck her in the head with the bottle and fled the scene, Clawson said.
The woman suffered a small cut to her head and declined medical treatment, he said.
Police knew the suspect’s identity, but did not release it publicly as they continued seeking him Friday.
