Man dies in Pomona motorcycle crash

POMONA — A motorcyclist died Saturday following a collision with a sedan on Mission Boulevard, police said.
The name of the dead man was not released Sunday pending notification of his family, Pomona police Cpl. J.T. Garcia said in a written statement. He was initially described as 41 years old. His city of residence was not clear.
The crash took place just after 5 p.m. on Mission Boulevard, just west of Myrtle Avenue, he said.
“The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators,” Garcia said.
The cause and circumstances of the crash were being investigated by the Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
