Pedestrian attacked and robbed of backpack in Pasadena

PASADENA — Police are looking for the robbers who assaulted a pedestrian and took his backpack late Wednesday night.
The robbery was reported at 11:10 p.m. on De Lacey Avenue and Valley Street.
Pasadena Police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian said the pedestrian was on De Lacey Avenue when the suspects yelled something. Before the pedestrian could turn around, he was put in a headlock by one of the suspects and punched in the head a couple of times, Gourdikian said.
Another suspect pulled off the victim’s backpack.
The two robbers ran to a waiting 4-door sedan driven by a third suspect.
The suspect who put the victim in a headlock was described as a black man in his early 20s, 6 feet tall and of thin build. There were no descriptions available for the two other suspects.
