The Baldwin Park CHP will hold a sobriety checkpoint in the unincorporated county area near Covina this Friday.
The checkpoint will start about 7 p.m.
Officers will be equipped with hand-held breath testing devices.
“Traffic volume permitting, all vehicles will be checked. If volume becomes too heavy, vehicles to be checked will be selected by a pre-set standard (such as every third or fifth vehicle) to assure objectivity.” Captain Steve Urrea said in a statement.
