UPDATED: Body found at Villa Parke in Pasadena, investigation underway

PASADENA — Detectives were called to investigate Sunday after a body was discovered at Villa Parke, police said.
The body was found lying face-down in the middle of the park, 363 E. Villa Street, shortly before 10:30 a.m.,Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
Foul play was not initially suspected, and there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body of the man, described as middle-aged, Clawson said.
An autopsy was to be carried out by investigators from the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner, he added.
It was not clear exactly how long the body may have been in the park before being spotted, however, “It appeared he had been there for probably some time through the night,” Clawson said.
