Stabbing victim shows up at hospital in Whittier

WHITTIER — Police are trying to determine what led to a man’s stabbing early Tuesday.
Officers went to PIH Health at around 1:09 a.m. Tuesday regarding an unconscious stabbing victim, according to Whittier Police Lt. Jay Tatman.
He said the man, a Whittier resident in his 40s, sustained several stab wounds to the torso.
It looks like the incident occurred in the 12600 block of Foxley Drive, according to Tatman. But police still don’t know how or why the man was stabbed.
No one has been arrested.
Tatman said the victim’s father told police his son came home injured. He took him to the hospital.
The man underwent surgery and is in the intensive care unit, Tatman added.
