Suspect arrested in connection with Pasadena stabbing

PASADENA — A homeless man was behind bars Sunday in connection with the stabbing of another transient during a fight over a woman earlier in the week, police said.
Charles William Graves, 48, was found and arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Bell Street and Mar Vista Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said. He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police had been seeking Graves since Thursday, when he allegedly stabbed another man in the left side of his body and arm during a dispute over a woman, according to Lt. John Dewar. The incident unfolded about 7 p.m. on Lake Avenue near the 210 Freeway.
The stabbing victim was expected to recover, Dewar said.
The wounded man was able to identify his attacker to police, Clawson said, but he remained at large until an officer spotted him Saturday afternoon.
According to county booking records, Graves was being held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles pending his initial court appearance.
