Burglars break in to Pasadena pawn shop through roof

PASADENA — Two burglars broke into a Pasadena pawn shop through the roof early Saturday before fleeing with stolen goods, police said.
An alarm went off about 1 a.m. at the pawn shop at southwest corner of Colorado and San Gabriel boulevards, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said. But the alarm was set up to notify the owner, not police.
The owner arrived to investigate and found the store had been broken into, the lieutenant said.
The burglars appeared to have climbed up a fire escape and entered the pawn shop through the roof, Clawson said.
It was not yet clear what items had been stolen, he said, however no guns were believed to be missing, and expensive jewelry had been left behind.
Police initially described the burglars as wearing heavy clothing, however a detailed description was not available.
