Man carjacked in Alhambra; vehicle recovered in El Sereno

ALHAMBRA — Two armed carjackers stole a man’s car Alhambra late Friday before the vehicle was found abandoned in El Sereno, officials said.
The carjacking was reported shortly before 11 p.m. at Lemon Street and Marengo Avenue.
Two men approached the victim and stole his Honda Civic at gunpoint, Alhambra police Lt. Garrett Kennedy said. The victim was not injured.
Minutes later, police discovered the stolen Honda abandoned in El Sereno, the lieutenant said.
Police described the carjackers as two men, one wearing a hooded sweat shirt and the other wearing a white baseball cap. A black Ford Thunderbird was reported as possible connected to the crime.
