Neighbor helps police nab Arcadia burglary suspectl; two more sought

ARCADIA — Police jailed one alleged burglar and sought two more after a witness reported seeing the intruders in the backyard of a neighbor’s Foothill Boulevard home, officials said.
Kenneth Wayne James, 19, of Altadena was booked on suspicion of burglary following a neighborhood search, which kicked off shortly after noon in the 1100 block of west Foothill Boulevard, according to Arcadia police Lt. Bob Anderson.
The witness called police to report seeing three men he did not recognize in a neighbor’s backyard.
“Upon arrival, three male suspects ran from officers,” Anderson said. Their car was found in the driveway of the burglary victim’s home and seized as evidence.
James was found and arrested during a search of the area, Anderson said. The other two men remained at-large.
“Investigation reveals the suspects had forced a hole in the back door, however, no entry was made to the home because of the keen observations and action by the neighbor,” Anderson said.
James was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail pending his initial court appearance, officials added.
