Man shot while riding bicycle in Pasadena

PASADENA >> A man suffered a wound to his back while riding his bicycle along Lincoln Avenue early Saturday, authorities said.
The shooting took place about 4:40 a.m. on Lincoln Avenue at Orange Grove Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
A 25-year-old Pasadena man was riding his bicycle when he heard gunfire coming from behind him, then realized he had been wounded in the back, the lieutenant said. He rode away and contacted family members, who notified police.
The man was hospitalized in “guarded” condition but was expected to survive, Clawson said.
No motive or suspect description was available, he said. Police were looking into whether a white van seen the area around the time of the shooting was involved.
