LA CRESCENTA >> More than three months after a Sunland woman mysteriously disappeared in La Crescenta, worried family members are offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps find her.
Kimberly Blum, 45, was last seen June 5 after visiting her sister’s home in the 2000 block of Cinco Casitas Lane in La Crescenta, according to family members and Los Angeles Police Department officials.
She left her sister’s home after a brief visit and has not been scene since, officials said. Her SUV is also missing.
A cosmetics bag belonging to Blum and containing empty prescription bottles with her name was found along Angeles Crest Highway, about 21 miles north of the 210 Freeway, but no further signs of the missing woman have turned up, officials and family members said.
Sheriff’s officials have twice scoured the Angeles National Forest near La Crescenta, and family members have also hired a private helicopter to look for Blum, her mother, Rosalie Blum, said.
The mother added that she didn’t believe Blum was missing voluntarily, adding that she had suddenly disappeared after making appointments with clients of her personal organizing business and left behind her beloved dog, “Sadie.”
After more than three months without answers, family members announced a $5,000 reward for information that helps track Kimberly Blum down.
She’s described as white, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black tank top. She was driving her silver, 2004 Honda CRV with California license plate number 5JVU774.
Finding the SUV may be the key to finding Kimberly Blum, Detective Cletus Carlton of the LAPD’s Adult Missing Persons Unit said.
