Washington State man seriously hurt in Azusa crash

AZUSA >> A man from Washington State suffered serious injuries but was expected to survive following a solo-car rollover crash late Friday, according to Azusa police.
The crash occurred about 11:20 p.m. at Azusa Avenue and Thirst Street, Azusa police Cpl. Robert Landeros said in a written statement.
“Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a semi-conscious solo male occupant inside of a 1997 Honda Civic that sustained significant damage,” Landeros said.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver collided with a parked vehicle and his vehicle proceeded to roll over and ended up back on its wheels,” the corporal said.
Los Angeles County firefighters freed the driver, a man from Washington State, from the wreckage and took him to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center for treatment, police said. The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Azusa police at 626-812-3200.
