Pasadena man suspected in two recent robberies

PASADENA >> Police arrested a Pasadena man already sought for robbing one woman after he robbed another woman early Sunday, authorities said.
Tredon Marquis Thomas, 22, was booked on suspicion of robbery and was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail pending his initial court appearance, according to Pasadena police officials and Los Angeles County booking records.
After approaching on a bicycle, Thomas used a water hose nozzle to simulate a handgun as he confronted a man and woman in their 20s about 12:05 a.m. at Del Mar Boulevard and Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado said. He demanded property from the victims.
The woman threw her purse at the robber and ran, Mercado said. Thomas took the purse and rode off on his bicycle.
The victims called 9-1-1, and officers soon spotted Thomas nearby in the area of Colorado Boulevard and Oak Knoll, the lieutenant said. Police arrested him following a brief foot chase.
In addition to Sunday morning’s crime, Thomas is also accused of robbing a woman of her cell phone about 1:20 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Meredith Avenue, police said.
