19-year-old motorcyclist killed in Pasadena crash

PASADENA >> A motorcyclist died Sunday in a collision with another vehicle at a Pasadena intersection, officials said.
The name of the motorcyclist was not released Sunday pending notification of his family, Los Angeles County coroner Investigator Kimberly Arnold said. Police initially described him as 19 years old.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the 1:38 p.m. crash on Del Mar Boulevard and Meredith Avenue, Arnold said.
Initial investigation indicated the motorcyclist was heading east on Del Mar Boulevard when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn from southbound Meredith Avenue onto eastbound Del Mar Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation, he said. No arrests had been made Sunday afternoon, and no further details were available.
